Development of extraordinary sporting or artistic talent

The aim of the program is to support the development of children under 18 years of age who live in a socially disadvantaged environment and who have extraordinary sporting or artistic talent.

The target group for receiving support is a child under the age of 18 who:

lives in a socially excluded area,
lives in a socially disadvantaged family with low income,
lives with a single parent who raises the child alone, without a partner, or is a single parent on disability pension,
has permanent residence in the Czech Republic.

What you can apply for a grant for:

covering equipment related to the development of a child’s exceptional sporting or artistic talent (e.g. musical instruments, sports gear, etc.),
covering membership fees in sports clubs,
covering costs associated with education at a music school or a similar institution that nurtures a child’s exceptional artistic talent,
covering registration fees for tournaments, competitions, and contests in the Czech Republic (if not covered by the club or school).

Conditions for using the contribution:

the maximum amount of the grant is entirely individual and depends on the type of sport or art the child is engaged in,
an approved grant may only be used for equipment and services that have not yet been paid for and must not be used to cover debts for services already provided.

Mandatory attachments to the application:

a copy of the applicant’s ID card, or that of their legal guardian,
a statement / recommendation from a social worker at OSPOD, the Labor Office, or a supporting nonprofit organization regarding their cooperation with the family,
a statement / recommendation from a sports coach or a teacher at an art school,
a price quote for the equipment and other expenses for which you are requesting reimbursement.

Recommended (optional) attachments to the application:

a statement / recommendation from the child’s class teacher regarding the child’s academic performance, behavior, and cooperation with the family,
an overview of all benefits received in the past 6 months.
